From 1946 to 1952 france had to learn how to make a good jet aircraft. Sadly, the country was ruined.Politics were not of great help, just wanting hundreds of french jets in AdA and Aeronavale service when the prototypes barely flew (or crashed regularly, killing courageous test pilots such as Dellys, Bertrand, Decroo and so many others).
So the plane were not good, but nevertheless looked spectacular and their failure paved the way for the GOOD year : 1952 (Fouga Magister, Vautour, Mystere IV as prototypes, Vampire and Ouragan in service).
